HOLBERT APPLE ASSOCIATES, INC. was established in 2001 to provide consulting structural engineering services for architectural and engineering projects.  The firm, located in Olney, Maryland (within the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. corridor), is a small business and currently has a staff of thirteen people.

 

The principals of the firm, DAVID H. HOLBERT and RICHARD APPLE, each have over 28 years of experience in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area as well as national and international experience.  They have personally designed and managed the structural design for numerous facilities for private owners/developers, architects and contractors as well as various county, state and Federal Government agencies.  The needs of these clients vary greatly and require a sensitivity and understanding of the specific programs and design criteria for the various types of users.  HOLBERT APPLE ASSOCIATES has a proven ability to incorporate the user's needs and the designer's concepts into the elements required for the project's structure to provide an economical and functional facility.

 

HOLBERT APPLE ASSOCIATES' projects have ranged in value from under $50,000 for small renovation projects to over $30,000,000 for new hotel, apartment and office buildings as well as new and renovated educational buildings and parking structures.
