1150 K Street Apartment Building
Washington, D.C.
This project consists of a 14-story, 150,000 square foot apartment building with four levels and 40,000 square feet of below-grade parking on a crowded urban site. All levels are framed as mild-reinforced two-way flat slabs with lateral loads resisted by concrete shearwalls. Due to property line and existing adjacent building constraints, virtually all foundations are mat or combined spread footings. The building loading dock and storm water quality structures are located on framed levels within the building.
