Renovations and Addition

Alteration of and addition to the existing Verizon Communications Center. The original building consists of several phases of construction, dating from the 1920's to the 1960's. Structural work included demolition of all but the first framed floor of the original 1920's era concrete-encased steel structure, construction of a new three-story reinforced concrete structure on top of the remaining existing structure, a new roof screenwall supported by the existing roof framing, and new floor openings and shafts in the existing building to accommodate new mechanical, electrical and plumbing needs.
Oak Cove Hotel Renovations
Clearwater, Florida
Renovations and additons to the existing 13-story hotel which is located on the hurricane-prone Gulf Coast shoreline. Renovations include the addition of new rooftop and site mechanical equipment and a complete curtainwall replacement. Additions include a one-story extension of the existing lobby, new porte cochere and new full-height elevator tower, all outside of the existing building footprint.
