Concrete Repair/Rehabilitation

This project's structural engineering scope of work included an initial structural condition survey and preparation of a report, including repair options and related costs for repair of corrosion damage to the concrete decks, structural steel and precast concrete wall panels at this 30 year old, three-level, 280-car parking structure. Contract documents were prepared for repair of two of the parking levels. Inspection and quantity documentation services were provided during completion of the repairs.

The 30 year old precast double-tee parking structure at the Wilmington Hospital is an independent six-level garage. Holbert Apple Associates performed a comprehensive structural survey through visual observations, isolated chain-drag soundings and chloride-ion testing. Based on the findings of the survey, contract documents for rehabilitation repairs were prepared and have been implemented to extend the useful life of this structure which is critical for the Hospital's operation.
